Draw Your Own Magical Witch
Ready to conjure up some creativity this Halloween season? In this drawing tutorial, I'll guide you through my process for creating a magical witch of your very own design. To get into the spooky spirit, I'm even sporting some fun Tim Burton-inspired makeup!
This isn't about drawing a traditional witch; it's about encouraging you to break free and define what "magical" means to your unique witch. I'll share my thought process on the elements I chose, my inspirations, and the step-by-step techniques I use to draw and colour this enchanting character.
You don't need a lot of fancy supplies to follow along! For this drawing, I used just a few basic tools: pencil, fine liner, and markers. Personally, I use:
- Any bright white paper or card stock to achieve a high contrast with vibrant colouring.
- A HB or 2B pencil for soft, erasable lines.
- A black fine liner (0.3mm) for the main outlines, and optionally a finer 0.05mm for delicate details.
- Markers of your choice. I love using ProMarkers by Winsor & Newton and Ohuhu, but feel free to grab whatever brand you enjoy using most!
