In the video I reference the concept that to master anything you need to do that activity for 10000 hours. If you want to read more about it, check out the book Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell*.

Foreign words used

  • Bodhrán (Irish) = Drum (English) pronounced like "Bow" (from bowing down your head, not the bow to shoot an arrow) + "Ron"
  • Ensemble (French) = Direct translation is together (English), but it is used to refer to a group of people playing music instruments together.
  • Castañuelas (Spanish) = Castanets (English)

Mastering an instrument is a complex and multifaceted endeavour that requires a combination of physical, cognitive, and emotional skills, along with dedication and perseverance. And if all you need is encouragement, I've got your back. Just do it!

Just do it
